In what ways does oppressive regimen remain in power?
Many researchers around the demesne believe that authoritarian regimes stay in power because is one and only(a) in which political power is concentrated in a leader or leaders, typically un select by the people, who posses exclusive, unaccountable, and arbitrary power. likewise because they have rigged elections, political decisions being made by a select group of unelected officials behind closed doors, a bureaucracy that operates independently of rules which does not properly supervise elected officials, and fails to serve the concerns of the constituencies they purportedly serve. Authoritarianism also embraces the informal and unregulated exercise of political power, a leadership that is self-appointed and still if elected cannot be displace by citizens free picking among competitors, the arbitrary deprivation of civil liberties, and little tolerance for substantive opposition. In this paper I question in what ways does an Authoritarian Regime stay in power in these particular countries Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. I suggest three potential explanations. The constituent of media, the economic performance the regime brings to the country and the status of humane rights violations during the regime.




To start off, I wishing to share some accounting on each individual country during the period of their Authoritarian Regime. To begin, Argentina regime started with a coup on border 24 1976. Argentina was governed by three peronista presidents: provisionally by Hector Campora, and then by Juan Domingo Peron (who died in office) and was succeeded by the vice-president, his wife, maria Estela Martinez de Peron.
